Cancer diagnosis and treatment can be expensive. Cancer Care for Life is a scheme promoted by RCC since 1986 to meet expenses related to cancer treatment for all those who join the scheme, up to a prescribed limit.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
- Open to all Indian citizens who are not already cancer patients.
- A member is eligible for benefits after completing 2 years of enrolment.
- Cancer patient undergoing treatment cannot enroll in this scheme.
BENEFITS
Under the current scheme which is the 3rd series, the benefits include
- Once in a life time payment with no annual premium.
- In the event of cancer diagnosis, for investigations and treatment such as, surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy at RCC, Thiruvananthapuram, with approval from CCL Medical Board, as per the rules of the RCC, Thiruvananthapuram.
- Membership is non - refundable, non - transferable and valid for life.
- Applicants will not be subjected to any medical check up.

PLEASE NOTE
- As Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram is a referral hospital, members have to report with a referral letter from a registered modern medicine practitioner.
- Cost of treatment in other hospitals before reporting to the centre will not be reimbursed.
- Scheme will not cover
- Ailments other than cancer.
- Free check up for early detection of cancer.
- Accommodation in pay wards.
- Services not available in RCC may be availed from other institutes as per the recommendation of CCL Medical Board. Decision of the board regarding this will be final.
HOW TO ENROLL
Application forms can be downloaded from RCC web site (Click here to download application form) or collected in person from the Public Relations Officer / Information Counter at the hospital during working hours.
The membership fee can be remitted by cheque / DD in favour of "Cancer Care for Life Account, Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram" or by cash at the hospital cash counter.
Application along with DD may be sent to Director, Regional Cancer Centre, Medical College Campus, Thiruvanthapuram - 695011.
Certifcate of membership will be issued to each member.
